    Noon-10pm

    Oakwood Beach

Entrance on 39th Street + the Lake

  • To make up for lost time! After being derailed by COVID for two years, we wanted to come back in a big way and create more time for more people to connect and reunite.

  • We love our Hyde Park home, but we've outgrown the limited space. We've also listened closely to your feedback about comfort and crowd density, and as a COVID precaution, Oakwood Beach gives us all more room to breathe. Relocating allows us to prioritize your comfort, remain nearby on the southside, plus...have you seen that skyline?!

  • The support and love from the community over the years means so much. The Block Party has been a fixture in the Chicago social scene for 16 years, and it's important to us that our tradition is both exciting and sustainable. All these years, the Block Party has been funded by the Silverroom, and as the event continues to grow, ticket sales will make it possible to continue the tradition. The ticket price includes a curated experience that includes live music, entertainment, activations + so much more.

There are many fees associated with hosting an event this size including staging, performers, lighting, generators, security, staffing, cleaning + much more. And we pride ourselves on paying the local vendors + performers who put in major work to make our Block Party special. Our team works hard to secure sponsors who graciously support the Block Party costs and help us keep ticket prices nominal.

If you or your organization are interested in being a sponsor, please reach out here.

  • We’re offering tickets at a special early-bird rate to show our appreciation for our earliest supporters. As the lineup and programming are announced, the ticket prices will rise incrementally. So buy early! You’ll get the best deal, plus when we hit capacity ticket sales will end. Tickets are only sold online here, no tickets will be sold in the Silverroom store. Please note that the Block Party is a rain-or-shine event.

To purchase tickets or view our current pricing please visit our ticketing site.

  • Please visit Showclix support for all basic ticket order questions.

  • We pride ourselves on creating a unique space for enjoyment, exploration and excitement. This year’s Block Party campus will include multiple music stages, a food court, vendor village, a health + wellness area, bars + lounge areas, a design pavilion, a kids + family area, skating rink, beach volleyball, fashion show and more. Follow us on Instagram and sign up for our eblast to receive updates.

  • We’re working closely with our Infrastructure team to implement ADA accommodations. If you have specific needs or requests, please reach out to us here.

  • Yes! Once you’ve purchased a ticket you can leave and return as much as you’d like during Block Party hours. Flexibility is important to us, we know you have lives–jobs, kids, family members to look after. We want you to celebrate in the way that works best for you and come and go as you please.

  • We strongly encourage public transportation, carpooling, rideshare and biking as there will be limited parking.

  • Since its inception in 2002, the Block Party has always been an all-ages, family friendly event and continues to be this year. We’re excited to offer a Kids + Family Area, as well as programming throughout the Block Party for family enjoyment. Children ages 13 and younger are free.
